RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE CHARITIES ANN ARBOR’S RESPONSE TO COVID-19
And How You Can Help
Like everyone else, we are monitoring the fast-changing facts and information regarding COVID-19 with great concern. We are in constant contact with our RMHC Global office and the leadership at Michigan Medicines C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital. Even during this time of “shelter in place” RMHCAA is open and as always, is making the health and well-being of our families a priority.
We continue to take precautions and safety measures to keep our families and our staff safe. As you may have heard in the past weeks, policies and procedures have changed. The service of our dedicated volunteers as been put on hold, so that the many volunteers who sustain us weekly can not come and provide support and meals for our families. Not only are we missing the personal interaction that is so important to the comfort and care of our families, we are affected by the financial impact of the cost to feed and take care of our families each day.
We need your support more than ever. We are still open and are continuing to keep families together as they care for their critically ill child. RMHCAA relies on the community for support in many different ways, and that need has only increased. Donations made to RMHCAA will be used to purchase meals, and basic necessities for the families staying at the Main House. By purchasing the food and items ourselves, we are able to dramatically reduce the number of visitors and delivery people to our facility, further reducing risk to families. We cannot do it without you. Please make a gift today.
While we can’t all be together right now, we can come together to make sure our families are fed, supported and sustained. Thank you for your continued care and support.
