05 Feb Where Every Stay Tells a Story: Our 2025 Impact
Continued strong support from our community makes it possible for us to remove barriers to care, strengthen families, and create a place of comfort and healing during a child’s medical journey.
Because of our dedicated supporters, nearly 1,400 parents, caregivers, and siblings found a home away from home while their child received care at University of Michigan Health C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital. Families shared 31,860 meals, found rest during an average stay of 43 days, with some families relying on us for more than a year, and received compassionate support from our caring staff and volunteers. In addition, our Hospitality Cart Program provided essential comfort care items, at no cost, to more than 6,300 individuals inside the hospital.
As our healthcare partner expands and serves more children than ever before, the demand for our services continues to grow. We average a turn-away rate of around 70%, meaning we are turning away more families than we can serve. Our generous community plays a vital role in helping us meet this growing need the best we can, and move closer to serving every family who turns to us.
